Serving of Chili Con Carne (+ large)


(+ large pot) of chili con carne weighed 652.41 kg (1,438.32 lb) and was made by the Keystone Aquatic Club at the Broad Street Market, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA, on July 19, 2003. The process of cooking the chili began at 4 a.m. and took 5 hours to complete. This included the chopping of the vegetables and the firing of eight burners to cook the meat.
Together with the usual chili ingredients, the fiery dish contained 6,434.49 g (226.97 oz) of Budweiser and 4,161.70 g (146.80 oz) of Coors beer added to the recipe.
